Katie Zink (she/her) is a trauma informed, lineage rooted yoga teacher, community ritualist, and creative writer living in Portland, Oregon. She works in Education Publishing by trade and has a Bachelor of Science in Women and Gender Studies with an emphasis in Human Sexuality.

A student of yoga for almost 20 years, Katie has completed 300 hours of Foundational Yoga Teacher Training with Audra Carmine and additional 40 hours of Meditation Teacher Training with Kimberly Novosel.

In any Ritual Yoga experience, Katie teaches devotional embodiment as the path to liberation. Her background includes a certification in the Neurology of Equity and Inclusion with Paloma Medina and a group facilitator certification with Oregon Humanities. She’s served as a Trauma Informed Advocate and has directly supported survivors of sexual abuse as a youth volunteer and on the financial development committee.

She enjoys writing poetry about philosophy, love, and liberation from the lens of yoga, and delicately weaves this variety of passion and knowledge across the experience of the intentional spaces she creates. Through yoga, Katie hopes to inspire a collective knowing of peace and connection.

In addition to teaching regular studio classes, Katie is the Co-Founder of Yoga for the Erotic Self and ANIMAL BODY. She also leads moon circles, women's circles, and facilitates custom workshop design.

Yoga for the Erotic Self is a collaboration with Amy Peck. It’s a multi-week, intimate immersion and exploration of sensuality and eroticism through the lens of yoga. We study the chakra system, Hindu Goddesses and the Mahavidyas, the fundamentals of Tantra yoga, among many other modalities to better understand The Erotic Self.

ANIMAL BODY is a collaboration with Jin Sol and Valerie Starr. We offer femme only single day ritual events and will soon be offering a multi-day retreat experience. We explore Goddess study, embodiment, movement, mantra, dance and somatic expression, in union with an embodied portrait session by our bespoke photographer aligned with unique themes each time.

Katie’s style of teaching has been described as deeply intentional, connecting, meditative, balancing, grounding, creative, sensual and fun:)

"The depth of the space holding was really strong. Each class offers a masterpiece of an altar, amazing music, and exceptional communication.

I felt really held in the container -- which created safety and allowed the body to relax for all the magic to arise. You beautifully held all of that.

Your own humility and vulnerability gave me a sense of reassurance. We're all just kind of figuring this out as we go! You weren't coming in as the ultimate experts and all knowing masters, which helps create a trusting container for me.

It actually felt like we were all figuring this out together. The humility in that created more trust in our own process."
